....once on a lifetime game....

I didn't watch because it is hard to watch the New England Patriots. Tom Brady especially. He's just too cocky. I know he's a damn fine football player, but he just gets under my skin...he's creepy cocky. (sorry cm if you're reading and look cock)
Anyway, I didn't watch because it's hard and I had to pick them to win...I didn't last week on principle but with Aaron Rodgers being out and the rest of the Packers being banged up, I figured I had to. There are only two teams that I will hesitate to pick, The Dallas Cowboys and The New England Patriots. I will choose the Pats when I know they will win, the easy games for them and when I can't afford not to. I will never choose the Cowboys....ever. But to get to the point of this thought.....The QB for Green Bay, since Rodgers was out, was a kid who, in his first ever NFL start, did this...

24 completed passes out of 37 attempts
251 yards
3 touchdowns
1 interception
31- 27 Patriots win

His name is Matt Flynn. If he never plays another NFL game, this is a good one to have. He did this against one of the most consistently best teams in the league. The New England Patriots and the coaching staff are very good. I don't like them, but I have to acknowledge their talent. And congratulations to Matt Flynn for a hell of a game.

  1. LOL. I'm a Pats fan - born and bred. Suffered through all the miserable years in the 70's and 80's. Now, everyone hates us. But your hate only makes us stronger!

I'd like to see an Atlanta v. New England superbowl, but I doubt it will happen, given last night's results.

  2. NOOOOOOO!!! Not a Pats fan? geez....it's a good thing I like you Redshirt! and at least you're not a Cowboy fan....I draw the line there :)

Super Bowl? No clue.....except for being a Peyton fan and always want him in it, regardless who he plays for, I don't really care as long as it's a good game. and it's not the Cowboys or the Chargers (just Phillip Rivers), I could live with the Pats if it can't be the Colts. :)
