Eight Republican state senators have issued a rare public rebuke of Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R), writing an op-ed expressing "discomfort and dismay" with some of his recent comments directed at labor backers.Even the repubs are distancing themselves from the freaks who got elected.....do you still think your vote doesn't count?

I'm from Maine, all my family is from Maine. I was saddened when LePage got elected, since it was because of a 3 way race. He's caused tons of destruction already. Maine had such a progressive, wonderful government for a long time, this is like a coup, literally. The state Republican party got taken over by crazy tea baggers, and somehow, they got LePage elected, with 38% of the vote.
ReplyDeleteI read this article this morning and was heartened, but there's little that can be done. LePage will wreak absolute havoc on the state for 4 years, and I only hope the people of the state can weather the storm.
no recall? I can't believe we have people in office that we have to put up with for 2-4 years....too much damage can be done. He's the real crazy Ross Perot I guess.....
